Each review score is between 1– To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.

You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.

We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

  • Politically sensitive comments
  • Promotional content
  • Illegal activities
  • Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
  • Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
  • Spam and fake content
  • Animal cruelty
  • Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
  • Any violation of our review guidelines.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

An accommodation can reply to a review.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning thisisnl.nl’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.

Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. thisisnl.nl property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Respect the privacy of others. thisisnl.nl will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

    “It was okay but probably won’t stay there again.”

    No microwave in room. The breakfast buffet was not a good value at all. For $ per person there should have been a lot more breakfast food options. It was sub par quality food too.

    I think the rooms are very well sound-proofed on the sides, but if you're on a lower floor, you will hear stomping above all night. There was a lot of stomping the night we stayed. Not sure if it was just one person or what, but it was throughout the night. I think one thing that could help would be a continuous fan option on the heating/cooling unit. When the heater kicked on, it gave enough white noise that everything was drowned out. But once it shut off, stomping, stomping, stomping. That's the only thing we didn't like. And to be fair we never called the front desk. It's a casino, people are there to have fun.

    The beds are super comfy and they give a variety of pillow density(?) options. There are three pillows on each bed, soft to firm. So there's something for everyone's taste. Everything was clean and well organized, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

    Bathroom was a little small. I liked the separate shower/ bath from sink and coffee machine. Slots in the casino seemed a bit dated.

    Was there breakfast? We like having 2 chairs in room as they are more comfortable than sitting in bed to watch tv. We loved the drive from Spokane and the country feel rather than the parking lot feel of most cainos.

    “Great view, nice getaway from town while not being too far to drive in for food.”

    The staff member who checked us in seemed to not know what he was doing, eveyone else was at a meeting. He was nice though.

    “Great value for the money slots were lucky”

    The bed was so uncomfortable. Everything about the room was great except the bed

    I love the staff in the restaurant steakhouse from Ray to Emmy to Barb. Everyone was friendly and personable. The casino staff was prompt and friendly as well and help with directions and small requests at check in

    “Fun!! Would go it again!”

    This hotel is part of a casino resort. Not many gamblers who stay over night get up really early so for us early birds , breakfast is a little lacking. There are things to eat, just not fancy or early. Full breakfast after 8 am is quite expensive. Next time I will bring breakfast stuff to have in the room. The hotel , especially week days, is a good value overall.

    stayed a couple of nights, asked house keeping for towels. unable to provide. said they were short staffed. only had towels for the rooms that were checking out.

    Non-smoking area needed to be larger. Signage was a little difficult to navigate. Room was not cleaned completely when we checked in. Found garbage on the floor.
