It opened on August 30, It grew into the most diversified resort in the Fremont Street Experience area. There are more than hotel rooms and several hotel amenities. Golden Nugget Casino

Golden Nugget has the largest selection of slot machines in downtown Las Vegas. Of its machines, there are more slots here proportionately compared to video poker than any other casino in the Fremont Street Experience area.

The best single line game is 7/5 Bonus Poker with a progressive. That is on the $1 denomination. It is dealt at $2 and $5 without a progressive royal flush jackpot. There are video poker games in high limit with slightly better pay tables but require betting multiple hands.

Only Las Vegas poker room found downtown

The only downtown Las Vegas poker room is at Golden Nugget. It typically offers two cash games at its 13 tables. Players may choose between an uncapped 1/2 no limit Texas hold’em game and a fixed limit 3/6 one.

The Golden Nugget sportsbook is an independent one. It is near the Rush Tower. There is a variety of seating with drink service. The ticket counter opens at 9am during the week and 7am on weekends. Vegas DisAdvantage Award: Worst DisAdvantage Table Game in Big Six Wheel

Golden Nugget blackjack rules

There are six different blackjack games dealt. The best is a double deck in high limit. It pays 3/2 and allows double down before and after splitting. The six-deck salon game also pays 3/2. It adds re-split aces up to four hands.

There are four blackjack games on the casino floor. Two pay 6/5. Both 6/5 games are in the top three for worst Las Vegas blackjack games. So, Golden Nugget takes the top spot for Worst DisAdvantage Blackjack.

Lucky Cat Blackjack is in the front party pit. It requires a $2 Bonus Spin side bet. At the minimum bet, the estimated house advantage is %. Another blackjack game also requires a mandatory $2 side bet. These are traditional 6/5 tables.

Entertainment at Golden Nugget

There is a showroom at Golden Nugget Casino. The resident headliner, Gordie Brown, performs at pm on Thursdays and Saturdays. Guests must be 16 years of age or older to attend. Other entertainment acts rotate throughout the year.

Troy Liquor Bar is a nightclub on the second level overlooking Fremont Street. It opens at 9pm Thursday through Saturday nights.

Large selection of restaurants and bars

With 11 restaurants, the casino has more than any other downtown Las Vegas casino. Many options are part of Landry’s, a restaurant operator with the same parent company as Golden Nugget.

Vic & Anthony’s is the fine dining option. It offers a large menu of steak, seafood, appetizers, and wine list. Vic & Anthony’s is open for dinner daily. Saltgrass Steakhouse is the casual option in this genre. It opens at 9am Friday through Sunday and 4pm Monday through Thursday.

Chart House offers a large selection of fresh seafood, chicken, and steaks. It opens at noon Friday through Sunday and 4pm on other days. Grotto is a casual Italian restaurant. It serves dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. CJ serves breakfast lunch, and dinner daily. Red Asian is open for dinner from Thursday through Monday.

Cadillac Mexican Kitchen is open for lunch and dinner daily. The Grille is next to the sportsbook. It is the hour dining option at Golden Nugget. It serves breakfast, burgers, chicken, pizza, and salads. Chick-fil-A serves chicken sandwiches and breakfast items daily, except it is closed on Sundays. There are also two Starbucks.

Multiple indoor and outdoor bars

Guests can grab a drink 24 hours a day at Claudes Bar near the poker room. Sports fans and horse bettors can grab a drink at the Sportsbook Bar. It opens at 6pm Monday through Thursday and 10am Friday through Sunday.

Other bar options include Rush Lounge just steps away from the table game pit, Ice Bar overlooking the pool, and Bar 46 with outdoor seating on Fremont Street. Drinks are also available outside from the Fremont Street Experience at Stage Bar.

Hotel accommodations

There are four nonsmoking hotel towers. Those are Carson, Gold, Rush, and Spa. The Carson Tower offers a Deluxe King or Deluxe with two double beds. These Golden Nugget hotel rooms are square feet. The Gold Tower has two room types and multiple suite trims. The Premier King and Premier Doubles are square feet. The Rush Tower at Golden Nugget offers square-foot Premier rooms. These come with a California King.  

Additionally, there are six types of suites. The Rush Tower Corner Suite is square feet while the Rush Tower East End Suite is square feet. Gold Tower suites include the Parlor, Scarlet, and Vegas Baby. These rooms are each around square feet. The Spa Suites are the largest rooms on the market at Golden Nugget. Each suite is a two-story, square-foot suite offering floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, two leather sectionals, a dining room table for four, and a loft bedroom.

Property amenities

There is a resort fee of $44 per night. It includes Wi-Fi access for two devices, access to the fitness center, self-parking, boarding pass printing, coupons, and four bottles of water.

Hotel guests can also take advantage of other property amenities. The Tank and Hideout Pool features a ,gallon shark tank aquarium. Spa and salon services are also available to guests 18 years of age and older. There are also a few retail stores.
