MOHEGAN SUN CASINO CT – THE DETAILS

Mohegan Sun is within a 3-hour driving distance of four east coast cities: Boston, Hartford, New York, and Providence. The resort is situated a few minutes from Interstate in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Mohegan Sun Opening Hours and Days

The Mohegan Sun hotel is open hours a day. The casino complex is open days a year with varying seasonal hours (generally between 9 am and pm). The casinos close between 1and 2am.

When to Go to Mohegan Sun

Mohegan Sun CT is primarily an indoor facility that is open throughout the year. July and August are the resort’s busiest months.

How to Get to Mohegan Sun:

• By Car: Mohegan Sun CT is located a short distance from Interstate It has a well-paved, 4-lane road leading to the resort. Research prices for rental cars here.

• By Bus: There is no direct bus service to Mohegan Sun. Charter buses from many major cities in the northeast run frequent charters to the resort.

• By Train: Trains from locations throughout New England run to New London, CT. From here, it is a 20 -minute uber/taxi/charter bus ride to Mohegan Sun CT.

• By Air: The nearest airports to Mohegan Sun are Bradley International (Hartford CT) and Green International (Providence RI). From here you can catch an uber/taxi/charter bus to the resort. Research prices for airfare here.

With over 13, spaces, parking is plentiful and free at Mohegan Sun. There are covered garages by the Earth Tower Hotel and Sky Tower Hotel as well as many open-air lots (with free shuttles to the casinos). Handicap parking and electric vehicle charging is available at selective locations.

The Casino of the Sky and the Casino of the Earth anchor the Mohegan Sun resort. All of the eating, drinking, shopping, convention, concert, and accommodations spaces radiate from these massive spherical settings. Spread across some ,feet of gaming floor there are more than table games and around slot machines.

Guests will find a wide variety of table games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Fusion Hybrid, Race Book, Roulette, Sic Bo, Spanish 21, and Wheel of Fortune. A few of the more wildly popular games include:

Tables run games of Caribbean Stud Poker, Four Card Poker, Let It Ride Five Card Stud Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Texas Hold ‘Em Bonus, and Three Card (Stud) Poker.

Serious poker players can access the Mohegan Sun Poker Room with a reservation and cage buy-in. Located off of the Indian Summer Garage, the Poker Room has its own set of rules and offers play generally between the hours of 9 am and 4am.

The Mohegan Sun hotel consists of two on-property resorts; the story Mohegan Sun Sky Tower and the story Mohegan Sun Earth Tower. Combined, the two hotels have a total of 1, rooms with around suites, and 5 hospitality suites.

MOHEGAN SUN CONCERTS AND EVENTS

Mohegan Sun keeps a full calendar of concerts, festivals, comedy shows, poker tournaments, dance parties, and holiday shows. There is always something going on in one of the resort’s award-winning entertainment venues. Here are the major event spaces:

Mohegan Sun Arena: The 10, seat Mohegan Sun Arena hosts premier sporting events (boxing and basketball) as well as headlining acts such as Billy Joel, the Eagles, Dave Matthews, Keith Urban, and Taylor Swift. The arena’s box office is open daily from late morning until 8pm.

The Wolf Den: The Wolf Den is an intimate bar in the center of the Casino of the Earth that offers free performances from entertainers such as Ludacris, the Marshal Tucker Band, and the Gin Blossoms.

Comix Road House: The Comix restaurant and comedy club has a western theme. Entertainment is mixed throughout the week with karaoke, bull riding, and Roadhouse dancers performing on different nights. The venue’s comedy club offers shows Wednesday through Sunday. The menu is full of Texas style food, craft beers, and whiskeys.

The Mohegan Sun shops offer a variety of upscale retail wares. Stores are sprinkled about the complex, However, if shopping is your goal, head to the area between the Casino of the Sky and the Sky Tower Hotel where the Dale Chihuly towering “River Blue” glass sculpture resides.

OTHER THINGS TO DO AT MOHEGAN SUN

• Mohegan Sun Pool: There are pools located in the Sky Tower and Earth Tower. The large Sky Tower pool features a solarium, indoor pool, and whirlpool with nearby sun terrace and seasonal fire pit.

• Mohegan Sun Spa: The award-winning Mandara Spa offers Balinese- and English-styled therapies such as massages, facial, wraps, and scrubs. Also onsite are a steam room, sauna, whirlpool and full-service salon offering hair and nail services.

• Mohegan Sun Golf: The resort features an hole championship golf course that accommodates all levels of skill and play. The club offers a golfing academy, pro shop, and pub.

• Cyber Quest: Cyber Quest is an fun arcade area that is professionally supervised fun for kids of all ages. In the arcade there are age-appropriate novelty and video games.

• Kids Quest: The Kids Quest is a child care area at Mohegan Sun where children from 6 weeks to 12 years old can be looked after by licensed child care professionals.
