La Zenia is a popular area centrally located on the Orihuela Costa. It is well known for the superb Zenia Boulevard shopping complex and excellent Blue Flag beaches. The area also boasts a further choice of commercial centres, the Orihuela Costa Resort and some great bars and restaurants. Aside from the resort and Servigroup beachfront hotel, accommodation choices for holidaymakers comprise a number of holiday apartments, townhouses and villas.

La Zenia Beach

Much of the holiday accommodation is located around the beachfront area, allowing visitors to enjoy sunny days swimming and sunbathing without needing to walk far. Bear in mind though, visitors prepared to endure a 10 to 20 minute walk to the beach will find the holiday accommodation further inland is far better value for money.

Wherever you choose to stay, the fantastic golden sand beach of La Zenia awaits. The waters are usually calm, although there is a few small rocks underfoot so take care or wear swimming shoes. Great facilities add to the attraction of the beach and a buzzing social scene centres around the quaint beach shack bar. Here visitors can choose from a good range of drinks and hot and cold snacks, as well as jugs of sangria and potent cocktails.

Central La Zenia

Central La Zenia inland from the N dual carriageway boasts 4 of the largest supermarket chains in Spain. Around the main roundabout are some popular bars and restaurants. A bit further inland are two commercial centres with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. A handy hint for smokers; the commercial centre situated on the large roundabout where Mercadona Supermarket is, has a cafe upstairs called Take A Break that sells cigarettes and tobacco.

Zenia Boulevard

A great day or evening can be had at the wonderful Zenia Boulevard. Why would I spend a whole day at a shopping centre you might ask? Well, this is the largest of its kind in the entire Alicante province and offers so much more than just shopping. Throughout the boulevard there is fun stuff for the young ones. These include ride on electric sports cars and animals, a fun double decker bus, children's adventure park, 10 pin bowling alley and 5D cinema complex.

After browsing the excellent shops that include a number of high street brands, head up to the entertainment level. Here, especially during the summer months, visitors can sit back in one of the bars or restaurants and enjoy all sorts of entertainment. There is live music and shows, kids shows and sports and events on a huge TV screen. There are restaurants, takeaways and cafes to suit all tastes including the ever popular Subway and Burger King. Visitors feeling lucky can head to Casino Mediterráneo for a flutter on the tables or fruit machines.
