I visited Harrah’s Cherokee casino in North Carolina on April 12, I go there about once a year.

Harrah’s Cherokee&#;s casino floor is more than double the size of its sister property, Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River. There are over 1, hotel rooms on the property. This includes about suites. The casino floor is around , square feet. 

The casino is about one hour west of Asheville, North Carolina. The closest airport is located there. Harrah’s Cherokee is about a two-hour drive from Knoxville, Tennessee. It is about three hours from Atlanta and Chattanooga. 

Alcoholic drinks are not complementary at Harrah’s Cherokee. However, points may be used for them. Diamond and Seven Stars players in Caesars Rewards receive half price. Harrah’s Cherokee in a non-smoking casino.

My favorite game at Harrah’s Cherokee is Black Gold It is also available at Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River. It is a heads-up video blackjack game. The bet limits are $2 to $ Players earn one Caesars Rewards point for every $50 wagered. 

The rules on Black Gold are:

• No double down after splitting
• Dealer stands on soft 17

There are two unique electronic table games at Harrah’s Cherokee. My favorite is Ultimate Texas Hold’em. The other is Three Card Poker. These games require $20 per Caesars Rewards point.

The best video poker game at Harrah’s Cherokee is at the $5 denomination. These games are found between the pit and casino parking deck entrance, as well as in the high limit room. The available games are Not-so-ugly Deuces Wild, 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe, 9/5 White Hot Aces, 9/6 Double Double Bonus Poker Plus, 9/6 Double Double Aces and Faces, 9/6 Double Double Bonus, 9/7 Double Bonus Aces and Faces and 9/7 Double Bonus. The $1 and $2 versions of these games offer payouts that are one notch below.

There are two stadium setups at Harrah’s Cherokee. The available games are video $5 baccarat and blackjack on the one by the poker room. The live stadium machine has $5 blackjack, $5 double zero roulette and $25 baccarat. 

Harrah’s Cherokee poker room

There is a table poker room at Harrah’s Cherokee. It is located next to the new sportsbook. All games are eight-handed. The main games are 1/2 and 2/5 no limit Texas hold’em. There are four no limit hold’em tournaments every week. Harrah’s Cherokee is a stop on the World Series of Poker Circuit. 

Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s Cherokee

A new Caesars Sportsbook opened at Harrah’s Cherokee in It offers a full menu of sports betting options and stadium-style seating. The Caesars Sportsbook betting app is not available in North Carolina.

Harrah’s Cherokee amenities

There are four hotel towers at Harrah’s Cherokee. There are over 1, hotel rooms on the property. About 10% of the rooms are suites. Weekdays start around $ per night and go up to about $ Weekends tend to run in the $ to $ range. 

There are 15 restaurants at Harrah’s Cherokee. The food court has Pizzeria UNO Express, Earl of Sandwich, Johnny Rockets, and Dunkin Donuts. There is a Starbucks on the property, as well as a café.

Ruth Chris Steak House is the upscale dining option. Other restaurants include Brio Tuscan Grill, Guy Fieri’s Cherokee Kitchen, Gordon Ramsey’s Food Market, a noodle bar, and a sports bar. 

The Ultrastar Multi-Tainment Center is home to a bowling alley and arcade. It has a restaurant. There is also a convention center and concert venue at Harrah&#;s Cherokee.
