Police confirm details of casualties after A16 crash

Lincolnshire Police have released the following details about those who were injured and the people who lost their lives in the crash on the A

• The driver of the Auris, a man in his 50s, died as a result of the collision
• A female passenger in the car, also aged in her 50s, was seriously injured and is currently being treated in hospital
• The driver of the Vauxhall Meriva, a woman in her 30s, was also killed
• Two young girls were travelling in the car with her. One is seriously injured, the other is not thought to have been seriously hurt. Both have been taken to hospital
• The driver of the lorry, a man in his 30s, received minor injuries.

Police say the crash on the A16 involved two cars - black Toyota Auris and a black Vauxhall Meriva - and a white Volvo lorry.

Fire engines were also seen at the scene of the crash earlier, but are now understood to have left the scene

Air ambulance reported to be at the scene

An air ambulance has been seen landing close to the A16, according to eyewitnesses in the area. At least two ambulances are also in the area
