UFC boss Dana White recalls walking out of casino with $700,000 in bin bag

It's no secret that UFC boss Dana White is a notorious gambler - and he once walked out of a casino with $700,000 in a bin bag.

White, who has served as the president of the UFC since its founding, has been banned from several of the top casinos in Las Vegas because of the huge amount of money he puts down whilst playing blackjack. The 53-year-old often has to cut deals with casinos before playing due to his high stakes and in a recent chat with Grant Cardone, White revealed he once left a casino with $700,000 in a bin bag.

"I go balls to the wall playing, I fluctuate millions of dollars one way or the other," he said. "Me and my crew walked out of The Venetian one night with a trash bag full of money, they literally gave me a trash bag to put the money in which I thought was a crazy. I play $75,000 a hand, sometimes two hands at a time so $150,000. I want to say we had around $600,000 or $700,000 in the trash bag."

UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who is a good friend of White's, once said the head honcho has lost over $1million in a night of playing blackjack but has also won as much as $7m. In a 2014 episode of UFC Embedded, White was informed by The Palms casino that he was no longer to gamble there after cashing out for $1.6m following a night of cards.

"It's not that I'm banned from casinos, it's just that they don't want me to play there," White said in a GQ segment. "They won't give me the limits that I want and let me bet as much as I want because they don't like to lose. The Palms has kicked me out of there twice, The Mirage, The Wynn will not let me play."

The Palms even gifted the UFC boss a gold belt with the words "undisputed blackjack champion" before handing him his walking papers. White advised anyone who is playing high-stakes blackjack in Las Vegas to gamble at the prestigious Caesar's Palace casino, labelling it "the best casino in the world".

"The only places that will let me play in town are Caesar's Palace, The Bellagio and The Venetian, all of those guys take really big play, but if you are a big player and you come into town you're insane not to play at Caesar's Palace. Caesar's Palace is by far the best casino in the world," he added.
