February 10, &#; Go Maskless! Gov Sisolak announced that masks will no longer be required in public places effective immediately!

January All Nevada counties are requiring masks to be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status. Most restaurants, shows, and events have been reopened with the exception of a few buffets and a handful of shows.

October 30, Update: More buffets and shows continue to reopen with the last Cirque show opening in November.

September Update: Clark County (Las Vegas) and all other High transmission counties are requiring everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, are required to wear a mask in public indoor settings.

Effective July New mask mandate for everyone indoors &#; vaccinated or not &#; issued by Governor Steve Sisolak.

Update July New mask mandate for all employees working indoors in Vegas. Customers and tourists do NOT need to wear masks if vaccinated.

Update July With a total of 8 buffets reopened, and almost all shows opened (except for a few Cirque du Soleil shows still yet to come), Vegas is about 95% open!

Update May All of Las Vegas will reopen at % capacity on June 1!!

Update May Bacchanal Buffet is opening on May 20th, and the Monorail is reopening on May 27th at 7am.

Update May Masks are off. You no longer need to wear a mask in Las Vegas if you are fully vaccinated, according to Gov Sisolak, who is following the CDC Guidance.

The Gaming Board has also granted most casinos to open at % capacity, which means social distancing rules no longer apply, plexiglass can be taken down and bars on the gaming floor can be at % capacity. Check our hotel charts below for the capacity limits at your favorite casino. Pools, restaurants and other areas are still reopened at 80% capacity.

Update April As of May 1, Casinos, restaurants and bars can reopen at 80% capacity, up from the previous 50% capacity. Social distancing is also updated to only 3 feet, from the previous 6 ft distancing.

The Governor announced he thinks Las Vegas can reopen to % by June 1!

Update March As promised by Governor Sisolak, most establishments can now reopen at 50% capacity. These include:

  • Casinos
  • Indoor Restaurants, Bars, Wineries, Breweries (no limits on outdoor dining)
  • Pools
  • Arcades
  • Racetracks
  • Bowling Alleys
  • Mini-Golf
  • Pool Halls
  • Amusement Parks
  • Gyms
  • Retail Stores (including Cannabis)
  • Museums, Art Galleries
  • Aquariums, Zoos

Places still closed until May 1:

  • Karaoke
  • Adult entertainment
  • Brothels
  • Day and Night Clubs

Update March 6, Governor Sisolak adjusts the space between performers and audience members from 25 ft to 6 ft if performers are wearing masks, and 12 ft unmasked.

This allows many smaller shows to reopen now with that 25 ft gutter removed! Check out the shows reopening chart below.

Update February 13, Las Vegas restaurants and bars can increase capacity to 35% starting on Feb 15,

Outdoor dining can fully reopen and reservations are no longer required. The number of diners per table will increase from 4 to 6 people per table.

Gatherings will increase from 35% capacity or people, whichever is lower starting on February 15,

On March 15, restaurants and bars will expand to 50% capacity. The governor will allow larger public gatherings expanded to people or 50% capacity on March 15,

Adult entertainment establishments, nightclubs, day clubs, and brothels will remain closed until at least May 1.

Update January Governor Sisolak has extended its person limit on show audiences.

Las Vegas is a city known for its bright lights and vibrant energy. This all came to a halt this past March when, per state orders, the Las Vegas Strip was closed down due to the Covid pandemic. Recently, after thanking Nevadans for doing an incredible job of flattening the curve, Las Vegas Governor, Steve Sisolak, has officially announced the Las Vegas reopening after 78 long days. 

This means that while some of your favorite Vegas destinations will be reopening, not all of them will open their doors just yet. It also means that you can expect some changes in your experience as safety measures and protocols are put in place to protect both guests and staff at your favorite Vegas destinations.
