West Virginia&#;s Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races offers a casino, a thoroughbred racetrack, hotel, entertainment, and dining. The 1,person event center hosts concerts, comedy shows, and other live entertainment. The casino has a sportsbook, race book, and poker room. It is open from 8am until 4am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and open 24 hours a day starting on Thursday at 8am until Tuesday at 4am.

Like all West Virginia casinos, we found Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races to be very friendly. It is worth the drive if you are in the region. We played video poker during our visit. Smoking is permitted in designated areas inside the casino.

The limits we found during our May visit were $10 for house-banked poker games, $15 for craps, double-zero roulette, Spanish 21, and blackjack that hits on soft Fortune Pai Gow Poker and baccarat had a $25 minimum. Blackjack that pays and stands on all 17&#;s has a $50 minimum bet. It is in the high-limit room.

The Sportsbook and ESPN BET

The Sportsbook at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races is located off the casino floor. It opens at 10am on weekends, and at noon on weekdays. It closes at 10pm Sunday through Thursday and at 11pm Friday and Saturday.

Mobile sports betting is now available through ESPN BET. DraftKings is also partnered with Hollywood Casino to accept mobile sportsbook wagers.

Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races offers thoroughbred horse racing. The racetrack is home to the Charles Town Classic (G2), Charles Town Oaks (G3), Race for the Ribbon, and the West Virginia Breeders Classics.

The racing calendar starts on Wednesday, January 3, and runs through Saturday, December Race days vary slightly throughout the year. The first-race post time is typically 7pm.

There are three full-service dining restaurants and a food court with five options at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. Full-service options include Asian cuisine at 9 Dragons, Final Cut Steakhouse, and The Sportsbook Restaurant. The Eatery food court includes Charles Town Drafthouse, burgers at The Classic, coffee, and sandwiches at Joe & Dough, Italian cuisine at Mercato, and Asian cuisine at Zen Noodle. Restaurants are located off the casino floor and require guests to be 21 years of age or older.

The square-foot rooms have either a single king or two queen beds. Rooms have a mountain view or can be upgraded to a trackside room. 

Suites

All suites include premier views of the racetrack. The square-foot Junior Suite features two queen beds, a sofa, and a second TV. The square-foot Balcony, square-foot Executive and square-foot VIP Suites offer guests a balcony overlooking the race track, a second TV, and a BOSE radio. The Balcony Suite features a king bed and a queen-size sleeper sofa. The Executive Suite features a king bed, a living area with a wet bar, a queen-size sleeper sofa, and a Keurig coffee maker. The two-room VIP Suite features a king bed, a jetted spa tub, a living area with a wet bar, a queen-size sleeper sofa, an additional half bathroom, and a Keurig coffee maker.
