Each review score is between 1– To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.

You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.

We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

  • Politically sensitive comments
  • Promotional content
  • Illegal activities
  • Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
  • Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
  • Spam and fake content
  • Animal cruelty
  • Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
  • Any violation of our review guidelines.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

An accommodation can reply to a review.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

“The resort is beautiful. Need to eliminate that pre-recorded obnoxious island music and do something”

Smell of sewage in ocean directly in front of beach. Needed to change rooms due to obnoxious music playing beneath our room. Price of drinks varied. One day our margaritas were $11 and another day they were $ They didn’t post when happy hour was.

Beautiful resort, clean and friendly staff.

I loved everything! I’ve been going to Aruba for 35 years and finally stayed at the Hyatt. It was a dream. Most importantly they made my dog feel at home. Aruba is not so pet friendly but the Hyatt is .

“Great place to stay with familychildren and grandchildren!”

The beach wasn't the best we have been to, but the locals explained that was probably due to a large storm a few days prior to our visit.

Room was very good. Cleaned and well stocked on a daily basis. Beautiful property that was well maintained. Pools for adults and kids very clean. Beach was very close to the building. Plenty of activities available for yung and old. On site restaurants were very good. Across the street from the property is the center of the action with restaurants, bars, shops etc

    “Aruba + Hyatt = Magic”

    Wish I had a full-size balcony

The staff were across the board friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate, well-maintained and really large. The landscaping and design of the hotel was exceptionally beautiful. I loved the parrots and macaw in their cages, the koi ponds, the black swan, and the lizards and iguanas around the property.

    “Pricey but I enjoyed it”

The property is so close to South Beach that I had to request another room on the opposite facing side of hotel bc you can hear/feel the bass from the nightclubs until late into the night/morning. Once I was moved, I slept much better. I also dont like that you have to pay extra for certain pool chairs/daybeds.

The property itself is beautiful, the staff is wonderful and I enjoyed the adult pool and the beach so close by. Fod was very good as well.

The thing that I desired most about this property is the structure. Everything was easy and accessible for check in to rental of different items to check out. The staff did an amazing job. 10/10

“Great weather, very friendly people, so much yo do. If you,ve never been, you need to try.”

The cost of meals at the hotel were expensive. If you walk into town, you could get meals much cheaper. It costs a lot to take these trips, the hotel should offer food a little more reasonable priced.

Right on the beach, water sport rentals on the property. Plenty of palpas, beautiful pools with a slide. The koi pond was breath taking, the walk from the hotel to the beach is breath taking.

“The most enjoyable vacation in the Caribbean”

    Having to leave.

The staff from the from front desk to housekeeping to the food service areas all went above and beyond to make me and my friend feel welcome. The people of Aruba are some of the kindest and welcoming I have ever experienced in the Caribbean. The room was spacious for two people making for an incredibly comfortable and enjoyable stay. The property is actually on Palm Beach not Eagle Beach which is short drive nearby. The beach is lovely, maybe a a few too many boats around making the water a little murky, but again the staff, service, and facilities on the beach and at the pools were outstanding. Renting a car was easy and helpful to get to other parts of the island (San Nicolas, Baby Beach).
