Bruce Casino has been named Executive Vice President, NBCUniversal Television & New Media Distribution, U.S. & Canada, it was announced today by Frances Manfredi, President of the Division.

Since May 2008, Casino has served in the division as Senior Vice President and during his tenure has played a vital role in multiple off-network television sales campaigns such as "Parks and Recreation," "30 Rock," "House," "The Office" and "Friday Night Lights," and has spearheaded numerous major movie licensing deals including a ground-breaking pact with FX for the Universal Pictures' film slates. Casino will continue to forge deals for NBCUniversal television content across variable platforms and oversee linear film licensing for the division.

"Bruce is a consummate sales professional with tremendous skills, strategic focus, and a vast wealth of experience," said Manfredi. "He is an integral member of the team whose contributions have been many and significant. Bruce doesn't find opportunities, he creates them."

Prior to Universal's merger with NBC in 2004, Casino served as Senior Vice President Cable & Ancillary Sales where he oversaw all television programming and film content sales to cable networks for Universal Domestic Television Distribution. During his career, Casino secured off-network deals for numerous series including "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," as well as library deals for series such as "Murder, She Wrote," "Magnum P.I." and "Xena: Warrior Princess." Casino was also responsible for numerous film deals, including the Universal Pictures Debut film packages with USA, AMC and ABC Family networks. He joined Universal Domestic Television's predecessor, Studios USA, in December 1999, as Vice President, Cable Sales.

Before his 14 years with NBCUniversal, Casino held various positions within the television industry including Executive Vice President and General Sales Manager, Unapix Syndication and National Sales Manager, Pearson/All-American Television, where he sold and marketed feature film packages and Syndicated series' "Baywatch," "Family Feud" and "The Howard Stern Show." Casino has also held positions as a sales executive with Vestron Television, where he launched the company's syndication division; RKO Pictures, where he sold classic films and first-run series to major market television stations and Lexington Broadcast Services, where he began his career.

Casino is a graduate of St. Francis College of Brooklyn Heights and resides in Berkeley Heights, N.J., with his wife and two sons.
