Everyone we come to Pahrump we stay here. We've been here from a week to a month. They offer weekly and monthly discounts. You can also use your Good Sam or Passport America. There is someone out We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Nice stopping spot for exploring Death Valley. Even Vegas is only an hour away. I recommend Seymore's ice cream in Pahrump

I would have rated the campground 5 stars except for a few issues. In speaking with a couple of full-timers, the campground was originally owned and operated by Terrible Herbst. Once the campground We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

DLakeman We visited the China Ranch Date Farm, about a 60 mile drive into California. The farm is a private residence/farm that is open to the public. I had a "date shake", which tasted different than a vanilla milkshake. I didn't know it, but I could have had a chocolate/coffee date shake. We purchased some date and pecan bread, which was very tasty. The store is full of unusual items for sale. The Pahrump Museum was very well done, including the model train diorama. We did not visit Ash Meadows Wildlife Preserve, Beatty, or the Rhyolite Ghost Town. Pahrump advertises itself as the Gateway to Death Valley. We have visited Death Valley and Rhyolite previously so we didn't go back. The Lakeside Casino is very smokey. We walked through the casino to get to the restaurant. Two of us ate supper for $ Two McDonalds hamburgers, fries and drinks cost that! We had a nice meal at the Mountain Falls Golf Course Grill Room. We dined outside under the patio roof. There were many birds "dive bombing" the tables not under the roof.
